Mo’Nique’s for Gay Marriage
The Academy Award-winning actress lends her support to a new video series
Mo’Nique recently recorded a new video for the Americans for Marriage Equality campaign from the HRC. The Maryland native joins Gov. Martin O’Malley and Corey Booker to raise awareness for same-sex marriage rights.
“Gay and lesbian couples, they believe in commitment, family and love,” says the star of Precious, which was directed by Philly native Lee Daniels. “If you don’t believe me, did you happen to notice that all that’s being asked for is the right to be married, which ironically promotes commitment, family and love?”
