Happy Birthday, Aiden James

The Philly singer-songwriter celebrates with a live show tonight at Tin Angel

Aiden James is no stranger to G Philly. We’ve talked with him before about his rise to fame in recent years, and what it’s like coming home for a live show. As he stops back in Philly during his tour – this time to celebrate his birthday at the Tin Angel tonight (Aug. 30) – we asked – and he told – about everything from his brand spanking new song to breakfast cereal. A guy’s gotta eat on the road, right?

You’ve been getting around a lot this year during your tour. We know because we follow you on Instagram. What’s it like coming home for your big birthday show tonight?

I love playing in my hometown. I do really well here and just love gettin’ all my friends and fans in one place. Plus, who doesn’t like birthday cupcakes?

Maybe someone will treat you to some sweets from Philly Cupcake. Any songs you plan to treat audiences to at the show?

I’m definitely gonna play my new song “Best Shot” that I did on Sirius XM Radio live a few months back. (Bonus: You can also download his cover of Lady Gaga’s “The Edge of Glory” for free by clicking here.)

Any special surprises you can give us the scoop about? It is your birthday show, after all.

Well, it wouldn’t be a surprise then now, would it?

Had to ask. What’s your message to Philly audiences this time around in five words or less? :-P

Earthquake and hurricane survival party!

Next to music, what’s your current obsession?

Honey Nut Cheerios.
