Philadelphia Housing Authority Names Former Rendell Aide Top Lawyer

Barbara Adams—general counsel for the state of Pennsylvania under former Governor Ed Rendell—has been named the new top lawyer for the PHA. Much of the legal work for the PHA had been outsourced over the past few years—costing the agency a great deal of money. The appointment of Adams is a move meant to recapture some of the responsibilities and assignments that had been previously delegated to private law firms. [Inquirer]
