Union Transfer’s Inaugural Fall Lineup Announced

Philly's new indie music venue has started filling its fall calendar

The Bowery Presents—an imperialistic commander of a fleet of rock venues in NYC—has released some details concerning Union Transfer—its new all-ages, 600-1,000 capacity venue just blocks from the Electric Factory. The venue will be booked by Bowery and local promoter Sean Agnew of R5 Productions with Avram Hornik and Mark Fichera—of Four Corners Management—overseeing operations. The first show will be Clap Your Hands Say Yeah on September 21st. The mission of Union Transfer is to be a venue of ideal size and notoriety for indie acts of multiple genres. So, if you haven’t heard of some of the bands they’ve booked, it’s probably because you’re not cool enough. [NYTimes.com]
