Teacher Layoffs Rescinded

The School District can't even fire people without drama

After distributing pink slips to 1,523 teachers this afternoon, the School District learned that they had to (perhaps temporarily) rescind all layoff notices. A judge ruled in favor of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers, citing the collective bargaining agreement between the union and district. While this is good news for educators on the chopping block, the Scoop has to wonder: Can the School District do anything right anymore? [NBC10]
