CNN honors Becky Fawcett - a Philly native who is helping parents adopt, including many same-sex couples
Becky Fawcett knows all about adoption – because she’s an adoptive mother herself. That’s why she founded HelpUsAdopt.org, an organization that helps single people and parents adopt children through financial grants that aid what can be a very expensive process.
CNN recently honored Fawcett for her great work. We’ve spoken with her on several occasions about her ongoing support and advocacy on behalf of gay and lesbian mothers and fathers. She even participated in this year’s Equality Forum.
