AC Now: Luxuries: Getaways: For the Guys

“Red meat, scotch and plenty of play — a weekend for men en masse”  —  Victor Fiorillo

Where to stay: Even with all the development in Atlantic City, there’s still nothing better than the Borgata for a weekend of broads, booze and other forms of excess.

Where to eat: Bobby Flay gets all the attention, but for the manliest cuts of meat and an astounding selection of The Macallan scotches, enjoy prime cuts and stiff drinks at the Borgata’s Old Homestead Steakhouse.

Where to get your drink on: If your goal is to have a drink with the guys, the boozy Irish Pub — with its convenient rooms-to-let for that random sexual encounter that’ll never actually happen — will do. But if your goal is to chase skirt, there’s always an impressive amount of blitzed, buxom ladies, not to mention 100 kinds of tequila, at Gypsy Bar.

Where to play: If by ‘play’ you mean chase skirt, see above. If by ‘play’ you mean express your competitive side with your buds, we suggest Atlantic City Billiard Club. No kids under 16 allowed after 6 p.m., so you can use the F-bomb when you accidentally drop the eight-ball (6701 Black Horse Pike, Egg Harbor, 609-645-7576; acbilliards.com).

Where to relax: After a night of partying, nothing will restore you more thoroughly than a couple of hours with Celeste. No, you won’t find her in the Yellow Pages under Escorts. You will find her in the Borgata’s Spa Toccare, where her male facial and straight-razor shave are by far the best I’ve had in the tri-state area.
