A&E: Feelin’ Groovy
If you can’t say Woodstock without a lump rising in your throat, the Mann has a concert just for you
For all of you nostalgic flower children turned adults out there who miss the decade that brought us bell-bottoms, flower power and great music, you’re in luck (well, with the music part at least).
For all of you nostalgic flower children turned adults out there who miss the decade that brought us bell-bottoms, flower power and great music, you’re in luck (well, with the music part at least). Hippiefest brings back the jams of the psychedelic ’60s with a concert for peace and love. The tour — which travels across 21 cities this summer — consists of The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddy, The Zombies, Felix Cavaliere’s Rascals, Mitch Ryder, Badfinger, Mountain, and Country Joe McDonald, which may just provoke a revolution and/or some flowers to appear in your hair. So while your summer may not have been as wild and free as the Haight-Ashbury Summer of Love, end it with some good — er — groovy music.
August 9th, 8 p.m., $44 to $64, The Mann Center for Performing Arts, 123 S. Broad St., manncenter.org
