Re: the 76ers guns-for-tickets program [in which working firearms could be turned in to police in exchange for a pair of game tickets]:

“Was this made up for the Daily Show? First, as a ­season ticket-holder, I don’t know if I’d want to have enterprising felons in the same building — let alone sitting next to me. Second, is somebody really going to choose between sticking up the 7-Eleven or putting a cap up somebody’s ass or a pair of upper-level seats to watch the Charlotte Bobcats??? This is what happens when you let white suburban staffers try to tackle urban violence. [Sixers general manager] Billy King needs to get the 76ers some shooters, but I don’t think this is what anybody had in mind.”
