The Technicolor shop from 1964's Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (you know, Catherine Deneuve's first movie, where she sings, dances, and — spoiler alert — marries the jeweler) used to be my ultimate paradise. The wallpaper. The hairdos. The parapluies. But now that Skirt has moved from its original location to a four-times-larger, Hollywood Regency-ish space designed by Chestnut Hill's Mona Ross Berman, well, I realize I've been wrong all these years.
