Philly-born Bob Saget — fun-loving father Danny Tanner of Full House fame — turns out to be quite the comedian. But if all you remember are the hokey jokes that made him famous, you're in for quite a surprise: Saget has thrown in the towel on his squeaky-clean television persona for comedy that is not for your Olsen twins-loving brood. This might just give you a (dis)taste of what's to come in his latest film, Farce of the Penguins, out on DVD later this month. But hire the babysitter anyway and enjoy some adults-only comedy. And if you can't make it to Tower Theater or want to go back for seconds, Saget's got you covered — catch him in Atlantic City at The Borgata's Music Box the following night.

January 19th, Tower Theater, 69th and Ludlow streets, Upper Darby. Doors open at 7 p.m., show at 8. Tickets $35-$37.50; call 610-352-2887.

January 20th, The Borgata, One Borgata Way, Atlantic City. 9 p.m. Tickets $45, available online.
