This softball-size fruit is trendy for a reason: The berry-like seeds beneath the ruby-red skin have a sweet-and-sour taste, are filled with potassium and vitamin C, and are perfect for mouth-popping, garnishing, or squishing and straining into sauce. Foster’s Peppers and Salt
Sleek kitchen emporium Foster’s presents salts and whole peppercorns in cool corked jars. The black Indian tellicherry pepper has unexpected kick, and the coarse Portuguese salt is ideal for roasting veggies. Peppers, $12 each; salt, $8.50. Turkey Wings
Don’t waste time Buffalo-ing these babies, because the fleshy all-white-meat wings don’t need covering up. Try them grilled, fried, or slathered in gravy and roasted for some down-home cooking. Moore Miller’s Cranberry Hot Sauce
Two Jersey girls take local cranberries and cook them with sugar and three different hot peppers to make the prettiest hot sauce we’ve seen. It tastes good, too, with more spicy depth than heat.
