Patti LaBelle at the Mann

Philly’s own Patti LaBelle comes to the newly renovated Mann Center for the Performing Arts on Friday for a one-night-only show. LaBelle, a two-time Grammy winner with a four-octave range, revolutionized R&B music throughout the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s as a lead singer and a solo artist, and her voice remains just as incredible today. Fellow R&B pioneer Charlie Wilson, the legendary front man of the Gap Band who has known more than his share of hard times, opens the show. 8 p.m. Tickets $49 to $75; order online or call 215-893-1999. —Abbe Wright
