Lifetimes: Fashion House

Remember the Nicole Miller gown you fell in love with? Now you can decorate your home in the same high-fashion style. Nicole Miller, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Kate Spade and Vera Wang are among the design icons who have made the leap from apparel to home goods, imprinting their style on everything from linens to tabletop. Here’s a sample (sale) of what’s available.

Furniture Todd Oldham’s take on the easy chair is part of a collection for La-Z-Boy, Inc. that includes updated sofas, chairs and ottomans, all customizable with more than 200 upholstery options. “Today’s newlyweds don’t want to start their new homes with hand-me-down furniture from parents,” says Paula Hoyas, director of upholstery merchandising for La-Z-Boy. “They want to step up a little and have that sense of style and function right off the bat.”

Available at La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries, Langhorn, 215-741-1550,

Tabletop Bright Irving Place dinnerware from Kate Spade is adorned with multicolored mosaic-style borders. The Silver and Gifts
collection from Vera Wang (another name virtually synonymous with bridal couture) features Wedgewood Waterford crystal pieces ranging from glassware to candle holders, as well as complete china place settings.

Both available at The China Collection, Wynnewood, 610-649-0850, 888-649-0850

Bedding Details like seams, layers, thread and sequins on bedding by Nicole Miller “take direction exactly from her clothing line,” says Mary Tilt, communications manager for the New York-based company. A best seller is the Green Tea Bed, with its soothing contrast of green with white accents.

Available at Bed Bath & Beyond, Wynnewood and other locations, 610-642-9296,

The man in your life might prefer the bold stripes and patterns in the Tommy Hilfiger line, which draws inspiration from his men’s shirts. And Ralph Lauren linens echo the classic American look of his clothing.

Both available at Macy’s, Cherry Hill and other locations, 856-665-5000, 800-343-0121,
