High Point Cafe Opens Wholesale Facility

It includes their own coffee roasting facility and commercial bakery.

High Point Cafe in Mount Airy is having a pretty good spring. They recently expanded and opened a new wholesale facility at 6700 Germantown Avenue. The facility opened on April 24 in an old post office building.

The expansion will function as a coffee roasting facility and commercial bakery, due to high demand of owner Meg Hagele‘s baked goods. The new space is not a retail location, but will hold special events, such as tours of the facility and special tastings.

The Kickstarter Project to help fund the new facility raised over $500,000 in equity investment exclusively from High Point customers, and nearly $40,000 from other community members.

“The entire community has made High Point what it is,” Hagele said.

Along with the new wholesale expansion, Hagele owns two other High Point locations, both located in Mount Airy.
