Zagat has the scoop on William Street Common, the new restaurant and bar from Avram Hornik (Morgan’s Pier, Union Transfer, Boot & Saddle and more) and chef David Gilberg (Koo Zee Doo, Morgan’s Pier in 2014). There will be no tipping at William Street Common though there will be a service charge added. Check out Zagat for more on that. We’re much more excited for Gilberg’s food, the old-school arcade with Skee-Ball, $5 cocktails, and the three drink brunch with bottomless donuts.

Gilberg’s menu is made up of snacks, sandwiches and even a fun-sounding kids menu. Highlights include:

  • Warm Pretzel Bites
  • Pork Belly Fries
  • Nostalgic Grilled “Snacksters”
  • Schnitzel Sandwich
  • BBQ Shortrib Sandwich

All of the alcoholic drinks at William Street Common are a straightforward $5. That includes everything from the Miller Lite to the Cool Rye Lemonade made with Bulleit Rye, housemade, lemonade, mint and thyme.

Brunch is a prix fixe affair (22.33 per person, $9.99 for kids). It comes with unlimited hot coffee, bottomless donuts and three drinks which can include Irish Coffee, Bloody Mary, Sangria or fresh squeezed orange juice.

This is definitely the most exciting restaurant that we’ve heard about in a long time that we didn’t know was coming. And it opens at 39th and Chestnut on Thursday, February 26th.
