This Weekend: Brooklyn Beer Meets Philly for Mash Tour

The Brooklyn Brewery Mash Tour is coming to Philly this weekend and bringing more than just bottled beer with it.

The weekend kicks off with a slew of events centered around Brooklyn Brewing’s beers and is topped off with Sunday’s Dinner on the Farm with Chefs Mitch Prensky and Andrew Gerson.

The Eat, Drink, and Learn event with Brooklyn Brewing’s chef Andrew Gerson is happening at 2 p.m. at the Corner Foodery on Saturday. Chef Gerson will show off his knowledge of beer and food, as well as wine and dine you with pairings such as the Brooklyn Lager with the Corner Foodery’s “Son of Diablo” sandwich or the Sorachi Ace with goat cheese and crackers.

Also on Saturday is the Philly Mash Tap Attack with Food Pairings at Varga Bar. Starting at 7 p.m. and ending at 10 p.m., the bar will be serving Brooklyn beers as well as food specials.

Starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Industry bar is hosting the Beer Brunch and Mash Pass Giveaway. Industry is pairing the Brooklyn beers with their brunch menu. Attend this event and you may win a ticket to every other Mash event throughout the week.

And on Sunday evening’s Dinner on the Farm will serve a feast for guests at Green Meadow Farm in Gap, Pa. Dinner on the Farm is a laidback, late-afternoon barn party with some serious beer. The hosts are bringing out four lines of rare and seasonal Brooklyn beers plus specialty big bottles, including our most recent Brooklyn Quarterly Experiment, Cuvée Noire.

The dinner starts at 3 p.m. with a Brooklyn beer and a meet and greet with local artisans including: Di Bruno Brothers and Kensington Quarters. Following the meet and greet, there will be a Green Meadow Farm tour with farmer Glenn Brendle to learn how your food is grown from seed to harvest.
