Doc Magrogan’s Is Celebrating National Oyster Day

Yeah, yeah… It seems like it’s always National Something-Or-Other Day lately. And while we’re generally happy to blithely ignore stuff like National Coconut Torte Day (March 13), Tapioca Pudding Day (July 15), Eat-A-Cranberry Day (November 23) and Crown Roast Of Pork Day (March 7), when it comes to the days that involve restaurants offering up cheap grub that actual humans might want to eat, we’re all for it.

To wit, today is National Oyster Day, and Doc Magrogan’s locations in West Chester and University City are celebrating by offering $1 oysters all day, and Malpeques for 50 cents apiece. Not bad, right? What’s better is that they’ve got more than twenty varieties on the board right now (and up until 10pm tonight)–everything from east coast Shooting Points and Little Bitches to Chef Creeks and Sunset Bays from the west.
