DeMeco Ryans vs. Bryce Brown. A one-on-one coverage drill pitting linebackers and defensive backs against running backs and wide receivers. The offensive players generally have the advantage with this setup, and there are many more completed passes than passes broken up.
On this particular play, however, there was neither.
Add another name to the growing Eagles injury report.
Wide receiver DeSean Jackson suffered an ankle injury after colliding with safeties Jaiquawn Jarrett and Kurt Coleman during Friday’s practice on an errant throw from Michael Vick. He had his left ankle wrapped and briefly returned to action, but did not finish practice.

Pretty much every discussion about the 2012 Eagles involves a mention about Michael Vick’s ability to stay healthy and Mike Kafka’s ability to back him up.
Some will also throw in LeSean McCoy’s heavy 2011 workload and the competition between Dion Lewis, Bryce Brown and Chris Polk to back him up.

Howie Roseman and Ryan Grigson are using their connection to tweak their respective rosters.
The Eagles Thursday dealt linebackers Moise Fokou and Greg Lloyd to Indianapolis for cornerback Kevin Thomas and a conditional seventh-round pick in 2013. Thomas was a third-round pick out of USC in 2010. He appeared in nine games (starting in five) last season and played 70.9 percent of the defensive snaps during that time.
