UPDATE #2: Doug Pederson expected Cox to show up today, but he didn’t arrive when he spoke around 1 PM. He has now reported according to Derrick Gunn.

Pederson was informed yesterday that Cox would report for minicamp sometime today. The 25-year-old defensive end is entering the final year of his deal and is scheduled to make just under $7.8 million. He led the team with 9.5 sacks last season and was tied for the team lead with three forced fumbles.

UPDATE: Jeff McLane tweeted a few items upon Sproles’ arrival.

Original Story:

While it remains unclear whether Fletcher Cox will attend mandatory minicamp, Darren Sproles is reportedly “slated” to show up this week, according to Ian Rapoport. The 32-year-old running back skipped OTAs, although it was unclear why at the time.

Last season, Sproles led the NFL in punt return yards and touchdowns, which earned him a trip to the Pro Bowl and a PFWA First-Team All-Pro selection. With DeMarco Murray gone, Sproles could have a larger role in the Eagles’ offense this year.

As for Cox, there is no word on whether or not he will show up for minicamp this week. However, a photo taken of him allegedly boarding a plane headed to Philadelphia popped up last night. It seems like both sides want a deal to happen, but when it will happen is unknown.
