McCoy To Sit Out Pro Bowl
LeSean McCoy will not play in the Pro Bowl due to injury, according to the Inquirer’s Jeff McLane. McCoy sustained a left knee injury in the fourth quarter in the regular-season finale against the Giants and did not return.
“He asked to go back in on the last series, so from a severity standpoint, I don’t think it’s very severe,” said Chip Kelly immediately following the game.
The decision to sit out the Pro Bowl is likely a precautionary measure.
The Eagles will still be well represented in Glendale, Arizona on January 25. Evan Mathis, Jason Peters, Connor Barwin, Jason Kelce, Cody Parkey and Darren Sproles all received Pro-Bowl nods.
A raise for Barwin
If the Pro Bowl bid wasn’t enough, Barwin also has a pay bump coming his was because of his performance this season.
#Eagles OLB Connor Barwin hit his full escalator worth $900,000, so his base salary for 2015 will rise from $5.5 M to $6.4 M.
