WR Cecil Shorts Ruled Out Vs. Eagles



The Jaguars will be without wide receiver Cecil Shorts for Sunday’s game against the Eagles.  He has been downgraded to out because of a hamstring injury.

Shorts had 66 catches for 777 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games for the Jags lasts season. More from PFT:

With Shorts out, the Jaguars will count on three rookies (Marqise LeeAllen RobinsonAllen Hurns) and second-year proMike Brown at receiver. Denard Robinson is also listed at wide receiver on the roster, but he’s currently the club’s top reserve tailback. The Jaguars also have wide receivers Kerry Taylor and Tony Washington on the practice squad.

For the Eagles, Josh Huff (shoulder) and Matt Tobin (ankle) have been ruled out. Chris Polk (hamstring) and Jaylen Watkins (hamstring) are questionable. Riley Cooper (ankle) and Brad Smith (groin) are probable.

 The Eagles are 10 1/2 point favorites.
