Boykin Jabs Giants CB Thurmond

Veteran cornerback Walter Thurmond signed with the Giants this offseason and met with reporters today.
Thurmond plays on the inside and doesn’t think anyone in the league is better than him in that role.
“I’m the best slot corner in the league, for sure. I’ll tell you that,” Thurmond said, via NJ.com.
The Eagles, of course, have a pretty good slot corner themselves in Brandon Boykin.

That, obviously, is not true. Boykin has been pushing to get a shot playing on the outside, but the coaches seem to view him as purely an inside corner. The Eagles’ CB responded to Thurmond:
“I don’t start on the outside.. My stats are probably what confused u though. I understand.”
