Wednesday: Free Agency Open Thread

On Tuesday, we got some requests to list the newest items at the top of the thread, so we’ll give that a shot today.

As you know by now, we’ll keep this post updated all day long with the latest free agency buzz.

8:28: Darrelle Revis will not be coming to Philadelphia. He signed a one-year, $12 million deal to join the New England Patriots, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

5:42: Looks like Mike Neal has re-signed with the Packers. We were told that the Eagles were showing some interest early on. — TM

5:33: Take a potential DB target off the board:

5:27: Reuben Frank of CSN Philly says Revis to the Eagles is “not going to happen.”

4:08: Here we go…

3:50: The Patriots have released Isaac Sopoaga. I still can’t believe Chip Kelly got snookered on that mid-season trade. I really think the Eagles would have won the Super Bowl had they kept Sopoaga. –SK

3:46: It’s official. Darrelle Revis is a free agent. The Bucs released the cornerback, and he is now available to sign wherever he wants. As noted below, the Eagles were reportedly one of the teams that called. Howie Roseman has warned against expecting a big splash, but does the organization consider Revis an exception? –SK

2:02: I thought Ware might have made sense for the Eagles at the right price. But this would exceed “right price” guidelines.

It’s fair to say the whole “all-in” thing applies to the 2014 Denver Broncos. –SK

1:55: Checking in on former Eagles…

12:43: One guy I thought the Eagles might look at for defensive line depth. They have not been linked to him yet though:

11:33: Another report linking the Eagles with Darrelle Revis.

Who has called the #Bucs about Darrelle Revis? Who hasn’t? Some of them: #Patriots#Falcons#Eagles#Giants. But would any trade for him?

11:27: Another special teams pick-up for the Eagles. They signed former Texans linebacker OLB Bryan Braman two a two-year deal that reportedly includes $1 million guaranteed. A Pro Bowl alternate two years ago. He is 6-5, 241. Big people. — TM

9:01: The Broncos gave Aqib Talib $26M guaranteed yesterday, which almost certainly means they are moving on from Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie:

8:56: I had defensive lineman Al Woods (6-4, 307) on my list of potential depth options for the Eagles. Woods has played in the Steelers’ scheme, which is similar to what Billy Davis runs. He’s drawing interest from the Titans, according to Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. Another DL depth option, Tony McDaniel, is in talks to stay in Seattle, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. –SK

8:55: There was some buzz yesterday that the Eagles could be a player for DeMarcus Ware, but John Elway might not let him get out of town.
