Is there anything like doing yoga in the sunshine? Or better yet, in a warm breeze? We think not, and that’s why spring and summer in Philadelphia are the best seasons for yoga because there are TONS of outdoor options.

Below, you’ll find 21 outdoor yoga classes, series, and pop-ups happening in Philadelphia, the ‘burbs, and South Jersey. Some are free, some are cheap, some include wine — read on to find your new favorite warm-weather activity.

Outdoor Yoga in Philadelphia

Yoga on the Pier
Where: Race Street and North Columbus Boulevard
When: Monday through Thursday at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m., Fridays at 7 a.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 9:30 a.m., plus select twilight, solstice, and holiday dates.
From late spring to early fall, Race Street Pier offers daily yoga classes open to all levels. Should it rain on the parade, the weekend and evening classes will be canceled 30 minutes before the start of class time. Free; donations welcome.

Yoga on the Banks
Where: 25th and Locust streets, Schuylkill banks
When: Saturdays and Sundays at 10 a.m., Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Throughout the summer, donation-based yoga classes are hosted on a grassy waterfront patch on the Schuylkill. All donations go to the yoga teachers and the the Yoga on the Banks organization. Suggested donation of $5 to $10.

Yoga at the Market
Where: East Moyamensing Avenue and Morris Street, Dickinson Square.
When: Every Sunday (weather permitting) from May 19th to September 27th at 9 a.m.
Yoga at the Market offers open-air classes at the Dickinson Square Park Farmers’ Market. After you say, “Namaste,” you can hit up local vendors for some fresh produce. Donation-based; pay what you wish.

Yoga in Philly Parks with Roots2Rise and Parks on Tap
Where: A different Philadelphia park each week; check the schedule here for location details.
When: Thursdays at 6 p.m. through September 26th.
Roots2Rise and Parks on Tap are giving you a yoga tour of some of Philly’s greatest parks, complete with bites and beverages. Use this as an excuse to explore Philly’s natural settings through yoga — and get together with friends over post-workout drinks. $10 suggested donation per class.

Yoga on the Manayunk Bridge
Where: Manayunk Bridge
When: Sundays at 10 a.m. from May 19th to September 29th
Here’s another series brought to you by Roots2Rise (which also offers regular community classes at local rec centers and libraries — check the schedule here for details). Feel especially centered in your bridge pose while balancing on the Manayunk Bridge. All donations benefit Roots2Rise. $5 suggested donation.

Yoga at the Art Museum
Where: Anne d’Harnoncourt Sculpture Garden, Main Building, 2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
When: Wednesdays at 6 and 7 p.m. from June 5th to August 28th
After you’re done perusing the collections, meditate on the inspiring art with a complimentary yoga class at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Free after pay-what-you-wish Art Museum admission. 

Live DJ Buti Brunch
Where: The Deck at Moshulu, 401 South Colombus Boulevard
When: Saturday, May 18th at 11 a.m.
Buti yoga master trainer Becky Sayer Kain (who will also be teaching at Be Well Philly Boot Camp!) is leading a high-energy class that combines dance moves, plyometrics, and yoga to the tunes of a live DJ. Your ticket includes a brunch buffet and bottomless mimosas. Watch the Moshulu schedule for other one-off yoga events later this summer. $45

Peace at the Park
Where: Washington Square Park
When: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. starting May 28th and running “until it becomes too cold”
Who needs happy hour plans when you can spend that time stretching and meditation among the trees with a gentle breeze? Join the folks of Peace at the Park for a weekly session of 40 minutes of yoga and 20 minutes of meditation in Washington Square Park. $5 to $8 suggested donation.

Yoga in the Cemetery
Where: Laurel Hill Cemetery, 3822 Ridge Avenue
When: June 1st, July 6th, August 3rd, September 7th, and October 5th at 11 a.m.
OK, this might sound a little, well, creepy. But local instructor Emily Tara Sabalbaro, who teaches at OpenBox AthleticsPhilly Dance Fitness, and Lumos Yoga & Barre is sure to give a great class. Plus, Laurel Hill Cemetery is a beautiful backdrop for your downward dog — though your savasana might just feel a little too real. $15.

Rooftop Yoga at Bok
Where: Bok Bar, 1901 South 9th Street
When: The second and fourth Tuesday of each month through September 24th at 6 p.m., rain or shine
Watch the sunset on the roof of Bok and get into the groove with some upbeat yoga that benefits a different local nonprofit every month. You’ll need to sign up ahead of time here$15 suggested donation, with 30 percent of proceeds benefiting nonprofits.

Yoga Breakfast Club
Where: Bok Bar, 1901 South 9th Street
When: Monthly starting Sunday, May 19th at 10 a.m. (Check KG Strong’s website for further details on future events.)
This fun once-a-month event, led by Katie Gould of KG Strong, combines two things you’re probably already doing on any given Sunday morning (read: yoga and brunch) so you might as well do them together on Bok’s b-e-a-utiful rooftop. The first session will feature mimosas and pastries from Machine Shop Bakery. $30.

Yoga at the Navy Yard
Where: 4747 South Broad Street
When: Wednesdays at 6 p.m. and Fridays at 7 a.m. through October 30th
You can’t beat a good bend in the grass in South Philly! This Navy Yard pop-up is ever-so-slightly wandering: On Wednesdays, classes are in Crescent Park and on Fridays, they’re at League Island Park. Free, but pre-registration is recommended.

Spanglish Yoga at the Rail Park
Where: 1300 Noble Street
When: Tuesdays at 6 p.m. from May 28th to July 2nd
Take a bilingual (Spanish and English!) yoga class on the elevated viaduct that makes up phase I of the awesome Rail Park. $5 donation; pre-registration is recommended.

Outdoor Yoga in the Philadelphia Suburbs

Yoga Happy Hour at King of Prussia Town Center
Where: 115 Village Drive, King of Prussia
When: Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. in June and July (excluding July 4th).
King of Prussia’s Stillpoint Yoga Studio is providing free yoga classes in the pavilion in front of Davio’s King of Prussia starting the first Tuesday in June. After your yoga class, treat yourself and indulge in KOP’s shopping district; there will be weekly post-class specials from various restaurants. Free.

Yoga on the Roof at Whole Foods (call Yoga Home to schedule)
Where: 500 West Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting.
When: Saturdays at 9 a.m. from June 8th through August 31st
Get your grocery shopping and workout done in one fell swoop. Yoga Home is hosting these all-level classes, and you won’t want to miss ’em. $5.

Yoga at the Conshohocken Beer Garden
Where: 2 Ash Street, Conshohocken
When: Fridays at 5:45 p.m. through October 11th
This Conshohocken hotspot is hosting Sol Yoga for weekly classes in its beer garden. Say namaste with a pint right after class. $5.

Yoga in Everhart Park
Where: Bradford Avenue at West Miner Street, West Chester
When: Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. until May 30th
Join the folks of Local Yoga Cafe for a dose of nature with a side of yoga that will surely heal your mind and your body. $5.

Goat Yoga 
Where: Mountain Pride Farm, 869 Woodbine Lane, Quakertown
When: The schedule varies; keep up to date here.
By now, you’ve probably heard of goat yoga. Well, now you can try it in the Philly ‘burbs. Water and Rock Studio has teamed up with Mountain Pride Farm to bring you the goat goodness. Register ahead of time here$35.

Yoga in the Vineyard
Where: 124 Beaver Valley Road, Chadds Ford
When: Select Fridays and Sundays throughout the summer; see the full schedule here
Yoga in a vineyard? And wine afterward? Count us in. Enjoy Penns Woods Winery’s summer series of an hourlong vinyasa class followed by a wine tasting. You’ll even get a souvenir wine glass and 10 percent off any wine purchase. $35 for yoga and wine tasting.

Outdoor Yoga in South Jersey

Beach Yoga
Where: JFK Boulevard Beach, Sea Isle
When: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7:30 a.m.
Get your toes a little sandy with NJ Beach Yoga‘s morning seaside classes. You won’t have to sign up ahead of time, so if you make a spontaneous trip to the beach, just show up and get into the flow. $10 cash.

Yoga on the Beach
Where: Bradley Beach, East End Avenue, Avon
When: 7:30 a.m. on weekends starting Memorial Day weekend and every day starting June 24th until Labor Day weekend
