Local Fitness and Wellness Deals and Specials to Start the New Year

To kick off 2021, here are some special programs and deals from local gyms and wellness organizations.

It’s been a tough year for everyone — including the health and wellness industry — and we’re hoping for better tidings in 2021. Though we know starting new habits (or thinking you have to somehow be a different person) in the new year is entirely played out, January is still a nice regenerative time to look into expanding your routines or interests — as well as supporting local businesses where you can. To kick off 2021, here are a few special programs and deals local gyms and wellness organizations are offering to entice new clients.

Revel Ride

The popular spin studio is offering virtual classes for the first week of January (and the first week of every month until they reopen) completely free — it doesn’t matter if you have a Revel bike, a Peloton bike, or if you’re a member of theirs or not — you can still take their of their “Revel in the Distance” virtual classes gratis. Maha Yoga Studio

For the New Year, Maha is offering one-year passes with a discount of one month free in 2021 for all membership levels. Check their website for the latest information and pricing.

Sculpere

Sculpere has a special running at $100 for 30 days of unlimited access to all virtual yoga, pilates, and sculpt classes. Visit their website for details.

Vitality Wellness Collective

Vitalty is offering an six-month Ayurveda intensive special to help ease the transition from winter to spring, with learnings on dosha and creating individual Ayurvedic food plans. See their website and Instagram for pricing information.

Arete Athletics

This Norristown gym  is offering free full-body and bodyweight online classes, and accepts donations via GoFundMe. Check their website or Instagram for all the information and their schedule.

Amrita Yoga & Wellness

Until New Years’ Eve, Amrita Yoga is offering one month of unlimited virtual classes and access to their on-demand library for $39, and three months of unlimited virtual classes and access to their on-demand for $100. Check their website for other offers and special programming.

Mama’s Wellness Joint

Mama’s is offering a special New Year’s Day ground and flow for only $15, as well as a “Transformational Breath Work Ceremony” with Aubrey Howard on January 6th for $20. Check their website for details on this offering and other upcoming workshops and classes.

Fit Academy

Currently, Fit Academy is offering a personal training “test drive” special at a discounted rate, as well as discounts on coaching and classes. Get the details for the full package and information on their website.

The Wall Cycling

The Wall is offering one month of unlimited Zoom classes for $69, and one month of unlimited in-person and Zoom for $125. They are also offering three in-person classed for $33 to be activated when they can open again. Check their website for more details.

Meditation with Kiera Smalls 

Starting January 7th, Kiera Smalls is offering a four week meditation series to develop or deepen your meditation practice. The series, which includes meditation sessions, writing prompts, and heart-opening movements,  is $65 (with options to support the costs for anyone facing financial hardship.) Jabz Boxing

Jabz, a boxing studio with locations in Voorhees, Ridley Park, and Aston, is offering a month of unlimited classes for $99, and $109 a month for the rest of the year. Check their website for all the information on classes and scheduling.

EveryBody Movement and Wellness

This studio is offering a donation-based array of drop-in classes — from restorative yoga to mobility workouts to bodyweight circuits — in the New Year. It’s not a change from their typical offering, but the donation-based price point makes it accessible to all who have a computer and internet access and who might want to try something new this January. Barre3

Barre3 Rittenhouse is offering a January challenge at a discounted price of $99 monthly unlimited in-studio (once reopened) and livestream. Check their website and Instagram for more information.

City Fit Girls

This isn’t strictly a New Year deal, but the City Fit Girls online strength training program is only $15 per month and includes weekly workouts, a Facebook community, plus coaching cues and video demonstrations. Check their Instagram and website for the latest information.

Never Give Up 

This Manayunk strength and fitness studio  is offering 20% off personal training and 20% off unlimited classes for a limited time. E-mail them directly to purchase, and check the schedule for the latest updates and pricing.

G-Strength

For the New Year, G-Strength strength and fitness gym is offering a special for one assessment, one personal training session, and eight small group sessions for $150. See more details here.

Paris Fit Philly

In January, Paris Fit is offering 20% off their personal training packages as well as monthly membership to their array of fitness classes. Check their website for details.

Three Queens Yoga

Casa Bandha Yoga
