13 Amazing Signs From the Philadelphia Marathon

Once again, the Philadelphia Marathon cheering squads have outdone themselves. Not only did they stick it out in the cold to cheer on their family, friends, and loved ones as they ran mile after mile through Philadelphia this weekend, but they also served as little reminders throughout the course that this too shall pass.

If you’ve ever run a long-distance race, you know that the right sign at the right moment can be a game changer. Instead of focusing on your feet hurting, the weird twinge in your knee, or the fact that you’re starving, you’re instead thinking about the sign that says “You’re THIS CLOSE to beer!”

So, in honor of the sidelines heroes who make mile 20 and onward a little more bearable, here’s a round up of some of the best Philadelphia Marathon signs from this weekend.
