Stay cool while working out this summer. Head over to select Philly public pools, as well as other venues, for some great water workouts. Did we mention they’re free?

Francisville Aqua Zumba

Where: Francisville Playground’s pool (1737 Francis Street, Francisville)
When: 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays
Aqua Zumba — an upbeat dance workout that takes place standing in water — puts less impact and stress on your joints since it takes place in water. However, the water also adds extra resistance for increased difficulty and keeps you cool—making it the perfect workout for the summer! Click here for pool schedule and updates.

Francisville Pool Yoga

Where: Francisville Playground’s pool
When: 7 p.m. on Tuesdays, through August 21
Join Francisville Playground, Roots2Rise, and Yoga Habit as they collaborate to host poolside yoga at the Francisville Pool. The yoga class itself takes place outside of the water. Be sure to bring your mat — and also your swim gear! Yoga participants can stay for a post-class private pool party from 8 to 8:30 p.m. The class is free but donations will be accepted — all going to Roots2Rise. Preregister here.

Pleasant Playground Aqua Zumba

Where: Pleasant Playground (6720 Boyer Street, East Mt. Airy)
When: 7 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays, through August
This low-impact water exercise class combines water resistance with some fun and high-energy dancing. It’s basically a pool party that counts as a workout. Yes, please! Find more information and full schedule here.

O’Connor Pool-Side Yoga

Where: O’Connor Pool (2601 South Street, Fitler Square)
When: 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays
First you’ll do yoga by the O’Connor Pool, then you’ll enjoy an adult swim to cool off. Looks like you really can have it all. Check their Facebook for schedule and details.

Aqua Zumba at the O’Connor Pool

Where: O’Connor Pool
When: 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays, starting July 12
Aqua Zumba in the pool, followed by adult swim for two workouts in one night. Check their Facebook for the schedule and details.

Lawncrest Aqua Zumba

Where: Lawncrest Recreation Center (6000 Rising Sun Avenue, Lawncrest)
