The New Riverside Workout Calendar to Have on Your Radar

You'll have WAY more opportunities to work out with Delaware River views this summer.

The Delaware riverfront has become quite the fitness haven: There’s Yoga on the Pier, Aqua Vida’s SUP fitness classes and now, the Deck at Moshulu is offering a beefed-up fitness lineup — they’ll be hosting a variety of workout sessions throughout summer, complete with river views. Think: yoga, CrossFit, HIIT, and more.

The fun actually starts at the Deck (401 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard) tonight, May 18th, at 6 p.m. with the Lions — those are local trainers Gwinyai Murahwa and Wayne Mutata — who will be kicking off their four-part Rock the Boat Summer Series. For $10, you’ll get a workout that combines HIIT, dynamic bodyweight movements and cardio with some killer tunes from a DJ to make the whole workout feel like one big dance party. You can grab your ticket and more info on the Rock the Boat series here.

The Deck also has a slew of other regularly occurring workouts scheduled throughout summer. Every Sunday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., you can count on Stacia Nero, local yoga teacher and Lululemon Ambassador, to lead you through an all-levels flow rooted in Vinyasa and Hatha teachings. Class is $10 and gets you 15 percent off of your post-workout brunch at Moshulu. The first outdoor yoga session starts on Sunday, May 28th; just make sure to bring your own mat. Crossfit Love will be swinging by the Deck on Monday nights twice a month with free all-levels workouts, too. Bonus: Post-workout drink specials. Additionally, Crossfit Center City will be hosting monthly bootcamps on Thursday nights and Richard Issa will be leading monthly happy-hour runs.

The Deck’s website is still in the works, but you can keep up with them on Instagram here so you don’t miss a beat (or a workout!).
