Rittenhouse has gotten quite the influx of fitness studios this year — CKO Kickboxing, CorePower Yoga, RippedPHL, Joltin’ Jabs, and Orangetheory Fitness — and here’s another one to add to the list: Midtown Village’s Unite Fitness is opening a new location at 26 South 20th Street, with doors slated to open this summer.

If you aren’t familiar with Unite Fitness, the group-training studio is known for its 75-minute, three-part workout that kicks off with cardio intervals (you have your choice of running, Spin or rowing), then goes to functional training (think exercises done with bands, weights, and more), and ends with a yoga session. Yes, it is really hard — but all of the studio’s trainers have Chris Hemsworth-like abs, so, clearly, it’s worth it.

Unite founder Gavin McKay says a Main Line location is still in the works, though the location is TBD. The studio has decided to end their partnership with Future Fitness in Mount Laurel, where their workout was offered, to focus on opening franchises — which means more Unite Fitness locations to come. Folks who are interested in the Rittenhouse studio can sign up to subscribe for email updates (and deals!) here. And until they open, you can get your sweat on at their 12th Street location — you will thank yourself once sweater season comes to a close, promise.
