There’s a BYO-Pumpkin Boot Camp at the Art Museum Steps This Weekend

Who needs a medicine ball when you have a pumpkin?

It doesn’t get much more fall-themed than this: This Saturday, October 24th, CoreFitness is bringing their annual BYO-pumpkin — yes, pumpkin — boot camp back to the Art Museum Steps.

The boot camp will kick off at 9 a.m., and you’ll use your pumpkin like you would a medicine ball — suggested weight is between five and 15 pounds — to up the intensity of your crunches and squats. (Yeah, you’re going to want to have a camera handy for photos.) Then, post-sweat session, we suggest you take your pumpkin home and whip up one of these pumpkin-filled recipes, along with some roasted pumpkin seeds. Talk about the workout that just keeps on giving, am I right?

There’s no need to sign up for the BYOP Boot Camp ahead of time. Just go scoop up a pumpkin at the grocery store and grab a friend; The workout cost is $20 per person, but Be Well Philly readers get a two-for-$30 deal.
