Get your calendars ready, people. September is shaping up to be a jam-packed month, as far fitness fun goes. From trail runs to glow-in-the-dark yoga to bike rides galore, we’ve got 10 awesome ways to keep you busy. 

1. Boxers’ Trail 5K
When: Saturday, September 12th at 9:30 a.m.
Where: East Fairmount Park

Did you know heavyweight boxing champ Joe Frazier used to run the paths in East Fairmount Park to get ring-ready for his biggest fights? You’ll follow his training route on this wooded 5K trail run, which benefits East Fairmount Park and Mander Recreation Center. It’s $25 to participate.

2. Glow-in-the-Dark Yoga
When: Friday, September 18th from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Priya Hot Yoga, 1828 Callowhill Street, Fairmount.

Don your glowiest yoga gear at this electrified two-hour yoga party, appropriately dubbed “GLOWGA.” The class takes place under black lights and is set to high-energy tunes, and glow sticks and necklaces are provided. You can also come early and decorate yourself with neon highlighters. It’s $25 to participate.

3. On-the-Water Rowing Class with RowZone Manayunk
When: Saturday, September 12th at 2 p.m.
Where: Meet at Bachelor’s Barge Club, Boathouse Row.

Stretch your legs on the Schuylkill at this on-the-water rowing class. The session will consist of a brief indoor session, equipment and terminology overview, and then you’ll head outdoors for about 90 minutes of water time. 4. Urban Farm Bike Ride 
When: Saturday, September 19th from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Rides start at Philadelphia Brewing Company, 2439 Amber Street, Kensington.

Take a two-wheeled tour of Philly’s urban farms at this 10th annual bike ride organized by Weavers Way Coop. There will be two rides available: one through West Philly and one through Fishtown and Kensington. Although the exact routes haven’t been released yet, the West Philly ride will total approximately 18 miles, while the Fishtown/Kenzo ride will be around 12. You’ll make pitstops at farms along the way, where you’ll learn the ins and outs of urban farming, and there will be pizza and beer awaiting you at the end. Snacks and water are provided along the route. The event benefits Weavers Way Community Programs. It’s $45 if you register in advance and $50 day-of.

5. PopeRide
When: Saturday, September 26th at 10 a.m.
Where: Meet at 30th Street Station.

This for-fun, unsanctioned group bike ride celebrates the arrival of Pope Francis to Philadelphia. The 10.23-mile route will take place on almost-closed-to-traffic city streets (the ones inside the “traffic box”), with stretches on interstates 676 and 76. So far, nearly 1,000 people have RSVP’d.

6. End of Summer Sayonara Rooftop Yoga
When: Friday, September 4th from 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Whole Foods Market Plymouth Meeting, 500 West Germantown Pike, Plymouth Meeting.

Say goodbye to summer with a rooftop class with Yoga Home’s Maura Manzo. It’ll be set to live music, and after class you can enjoy tacos and beer specials from the rooftop taco truck. The class is $20, and proceeds go to buildOn and Whole Kids Foundation.

7. Farm to Table Dinner at Nomad Roman
When: Tuesday, September 8th at 7 and 9:30 p.m.
Where: 1305 Locust Street, Midtown Village.

This Midtown Village eatery — it’s part of the Nomad Pizza family — is hosting a special Farm to Table Dinner featuring goodies from Plowshare Farms in Bucks County. The dinner, which will include appetizers, salad, pizza and dessert, will include end-of-summer and early fall seasonal produce — in other words, the best of both worlds. The 7 p.m seating is sold out, but there are still spots left for the 9:30. It’s $30 a person; reservations are required.

8. Creek to River Relay
When: Sunday, September 20th at 9 a.m.
Where: Race starts in Perkiomenville and ends in Conshohocken.

This first-annual six-man (or woman) relay challenge takes place on the Perkiomen Creek and Schuylkill River trails. Each team member will run a leg of the 29-mile race, which begins in Perkiomenville and ends at in Conshohocken. Non-running team members will drive from relay point to relay point to cheer in their team members. The run ends at the Conshohocken Brewing Company with a post-race party. It’s $200 per team to participate.

9. Free Boot Camp at the Art Museum
When: Wednesday, September 1st at 6:30 p.m.
Where: Philadelphia Museum of Art, 2600 Ben Franklin Parkway, Fairmount.

Fit Academy boot camps, led by trainer Osayi Osunde, happen six days a week at the Art Museum Steps, but the special thing about this boot camp class is that it won’t cost you a dime. The session is capped at 50 people, so just make sure to sign up here ahead of time, then head to the Art Museum Steps at 6:30 p.m. with a yoga mat and water bottle in hand — you’re going to need it.

10. Vegetarian Brunch Cooking Class
When: Sunday, September 20th from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: La Cucina at the Market, The Dorrance Hamilton for Culinary Enterprise Building, 310 S. 48th Street, West Philly.

Chef Christina Martin, a veritable veggie wizard, will walk you through — and let you taste — a brunch feast with a vegetarian twist. The meal will highlight seasonal, local produce. It’s $70 to participate.
