We’re trying our hardest to forget all about this long, cold, dreary winter. (Yes, yes, despite all the snow predicted for tomorrow.) So we’re thrilled when we get to post things that get us amped for springtime, sunshine and warmer weather.

Today, it’s this bit of news: The Fairmount Park Conservancy is bringing back its popular guided trail-running series this spring — the series has been on a winter hiatus since late fall — with six upcoming runs now on the roster beginning March 14th.

The runs entail approximately six ruddy miles in West Fairmount Park’s Belmont Plateau and Chamounix trails. They’re led by either running coach John Goldthorp of Fix Your Run or Alon Abramson, founder of West Philly Runners. The runs are on Saturday or Sunday mornings beginning at 9 a.m.

The runs are free for Conservancy members and $10 for nonmembers. Sign-up and more info are here.
