Recipes for Healthy Living: Anti-Inflammatory Fried Rice

A dietitian with the outpatient Temple Health and Wellness clinic, Eric Block also hosts monthly food demonstrations at the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Cheltenham, PA. Hope Lodges are located around the country and provide free lodging to cancer patients who need to travel for treatment. Through its EMPOWER program, Hope Lodge offers a holistic approach to care, including a focus on “food as medicine.” This includes Block’s cooking and nutrition class, where guests learn to make delicious recipes like this anti-inflammatory fried rice. This recipe uses heart-healthy avocado oil, which has plenty of antioxidants, and liquid aminos, which have no added chemicals and are a good source of amino acids.
