Bake a Pie for Charity

On Sunday Cook will open its doors to the public for an apple pie-making event. From 5 to 8: p.m., the public is invited to Cook to bake pies for a good cause.

For a $20 donation you can bake a pie at Cook. Just bring your own pie tin and apron. Cook provides the apples, dough and all the other ingredients. All proceeds go directly to the SHARE Food Program, which

Jillian Brainard of SHARE and Jackie Baik of Cook, will be on hand to provide recipes, tips and may even give a demonstration on lattice-topped pie crusts.  Apple cider will be served

SHARE focuses on providing affordable, wholesome food to the local community. To date, SHARE has supplied over 17.5 million pounds of food to area food banks and served over 192,000 households.
