Hey Runners, What’s the Best Race in Philly?

The ODDyssey Half Marathon wants to know.

The folks over at the ODDyssey Half Marathon are busy cooking up some pretty cool stuff for their race this June. One of those things is a pre-race expo on June 6th that will be more than just a place to pick up your race packet. Dubbed the Philadelphia Spring Running Exposition, it’s being billed as a celebration of running — and the running community — in Philadelphia.

To that end, organizers are creating an area of the expo dedicated to the most kick-ass races in our city. In partnership with sponsor Mamma Chia, they’re calling it the Curated Race Collection — sort of like a Walk of Fame — featuring a handful of local races that have made running in our city so incredibly awesome.

And so, they’re opening it up to Philly runners to submit nominations for the races that should be represented in the Race Collection. From the official announcement:

Only local races with a strong history of creating an excellent runner experience will be permitted to exhibit here and, your opinion matters.

Runners may now nominate your favorite summer and fall races for inclusion in the curated section of our expo. From those nominations ten races will be invited to exhibit. So, you will know that the races featured at our exposition have been tried and tested by our running community.

Races will be judged by three measures.

1. History of excellence.

2. Uniqueness.

3. Ties to the local community.

Only races that take place between June 15th and December 31st, 2015, qualify for inclusion in the Race Collection. Nominations are due by February 28th. Submit a nomination here.
