[ORIGINAL] Protesters will hold a die-in protest at 30th Street Station this afternoon to protest the decision not to indict Darren Wilson, according to a Facebook post from In Defense of Black Bodies. People will gather starting at 3:45 and will “die” at 4:15. Afterward, they will march to City Hall.

The organizers state the protest is not just for Ferguson but “in opposition to the ongoing genocide perpetuated against Black people in the United States.” The group asks “that non-Black POC and white allies sit in solidarity during this time but not lay down as the dead” during the protest.

At 4:15 p.m., those involved will drop to the ground for 4 minutes and 30 seconds. Michael Brown’s body was on the ground for 4 hours and 30 minutes after he was killed by Officer Wilson. A grand jury declined to indict Wilson last month; he has since retired from the police force.

The protesters are attempting to disrupt traffic during rush hour downtown. Almost 600 have registered on Facebook for the event.
