Can the United States truly boast of  a Trappist Brewery? The Grey Lodge is hosting Brother Christian from Abbey of Christ in the Desert and Berkeley Merchant, General Manager of the Abbey Bev Co, this afternoon. They will be on-hand to discuss and pour what could be next official Trappist beer, Abbey of Christ in Desert Monks Ale.

Johnny Goodtimes is hosting Quizopatra at the Franklin Institute. And yes, there will be Bangles questions.

Saturday

A Full Plate Rib Off kicks off at noon in Liberty Lands Park. $20 gets you samples from all the competitors. Immediately afterwards is the Northern Liberties Music Festival. Check out our calendar entry for more details.
