Philly Mag Shops
On Sunday, October 6th, we hosted our first-ever Philly Mag Shops, a one-day-only warehouse sale featuring over 30 of the best boutiques and designers in the area. When we were planning the event, the idea was simple: Let’s create a shopping event we’d actually want to go to, featuring shops we actually want to shop in, at prices we can actually afford (and, hey, let’s have some lust-worthy pieces in there, too). Then we dreamed about what other stuff we’d want there: the best beauty treatments in the city (and let’s make them free, we said!), cool local designers we might not know about, cocktails, food, some cool-looking lounge areas. Oh, and major sales.
In the end, that’s what we did—and you guys loved it. Over 400 people piled into the Crane Arts Building (500, if you count all the fabulous store owners and shopgirls and makeup artists and nail techs) for an afternoon of shopping—and boy, did you ever shop. Many boutiques had to actually go back to their storefronts to restock! I hope you had as much fun as we did putting it all together, and I hope your closet is better for it.
