Welcome To the New Birds 24/7

As you may have noticed, we have a new look here at Birds 24/7 and all across PhillyMag.com.

Thanks to those who have taken the time to provide feedback, almost all of which has been positive. We are are still ironing out some wrinkles, but wanted to provide an update on a few of the issues we’ve received questions about.

Comments – We realize these are not working properly. Comment threads are showing up on the wrong posts. And some comments are not showing up altogether. We are working to get this fixed and will keep you posted. [Admin update, 10/4, 7 p.m.: The comments functionality has been sorted out. Some previous comments may remain associated with the wrong posts, but new ones should be fine.]

RSS Feed – This has changed. Here’s the news one: https://www.phillymag.com/birds247/feed.

Photos – The previous design was straightforward, but lacked a little pop. So far, many of you seem to like the big photos. We wanted to make sure all along that the content could be found easily and without distraction. We still believe that’s the case, but if you have feedback on how we’re using the photos on the blog front, please let us know.

Twitter – We have a new Birds 24/7 account, in addition to our personal ones. We’re hearing rumors of possible Birds 24/7 T-shirt giveaways through the new account, so be sure to give it a follow.
