To Do: Totally Awesome 80s Run in Haddon Township

Remember last summer when I broke out a pair gold-ringed tube socks, teased my hair within an inch of its life, and wore more makeup than was comfortable, all for an 80s-themed run? Yes? Well, the Totally Awesome 80s Run is back again for another go-round next month, so you can, like, totally get in on the fun.

The 5K run will start and end at the Irish Mile in Haddon Township, New Jersey, about 20 minutes from Center City. The chip-timed race will start at 10 a.m., with an 80s-themed dance party to follow. A free t-shirt and pizza and pasta at the restaurant is included in the race registration, and there will be drink specials galore. Awards will be given for the top male and female finishers, best costume, and, of course, best running man moves, so get practicing. Find more info and register here.

$40 until October 5th, $50 day-of; Race day is October 6th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Irish Mile, 350 Haddon Ave, Haddon Township.
