The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia held its signature fundraiser on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research, CHOP’s brand-new, state-of-the-art facility on the banks of the Schuylkill River. More than 600 guests in tuxedos and ball gowns enjoyed a cocktail party before heading upstairs to the 17th floor, where they enjoyed dinner by Neuman’s Kitchen, danced to live entertainment by Starlight Orchestras, and enjoyed breathtaking panoramic views of Philadelphia’s city lights.

Serving as master of ceremonies was Savannah Guthrie, co-anchor of NBC’s Today, who also participated in a Q&A with several of the children’s whose lives were saved at CHOP. Honorary co-chairs were Aileen and Brian Roberts, whose donation from their foundation of $25 million helped facilitate the Roberts Collaborative for Genetics and Individualized Medicine at CHOP.
