As odd, but rather exciting, as it sounds, wedding registries are having a moment as of late. We’ve recently read up on unconventional registries you never would have thought of, the top 10 most popular items on the Amazon wedding registry, and get this, there was even a study (yes, a real, researched-based study) done on the most important things to keep in mind before you register for your wedding.

Needless to say, with all things registry on the brain, we were pretty psyched to find out that West Elm recently launched a wedding registry of their own! And it’s much more than just a scan-what-you-want-and-be-on-your-way type of deal—there are lots of fun extras that come along with setting up a registry here.

It starts (obviously) with picking out all the housewares, kitchen tools, and monogrammed linens that you and your hubby want and/or need for your home. This can be done through West Elm's expansive online inventory, or, you can stop into your local store, download the company's scanning app, and go crazy choosing your registry with the help of the store's complimentary home stylists.

And that's just the beginning. Build a registry with West Elm and you'll also get exclusive access to private registry events, early hours shopping before the store opens to the public, and a digital thank you-note manager to keep track of who gave you what. Better yet, West Elm has partnered with two fabulous wedding vendors to give you special savings on their services as well: Minted will offer discount invitations to couples who register with West Elm while wedding website designers Riley & Grey are offering 30 percent off their custom, limited-edition websites.

And, in the event that your guest don't scoop up every last item on your list, West Elm offers a 10 percent discount on everything left on your registry for six months after the Big Day. That, we think, is quite the deal.
