Philadelphia Apartment Guide

For $1,500 a month, you can live in one of the best neighborhoods in Philadelphia.

Old City

Delaware Avenue to 6th, Walnut to Race

The Space:
A decent-sized loft space in a converted warehouse, with pine floors and exposed brick.

The Neighbors:
First-time Philly renters, condo-owning young couples and an older, artsy crowd.

The Perks:
The Ritz theaters (about the only places to see a movie downtown). 3rd Street’s boutiques and art galleries. Easy access to public transit.

The Drawbacks:
Noise. There’s no escaping the drunken masses on weekend nights. (Rent north of Market if you know what’s good for you.)

For a Little More:
More open space, and possibly another bathroom and a private terrace or roof deck.
