Teresa Giudice Offered $1 Million for Post-Prison Return on Real Housewives of New Jersey

Teresa Giudice may still have several months of behind-bars time on her hands, but at least she has the comfort of knowing there will be a million-dollar paycheck waiting for her when she gets out. RadarOnline reports that the fallen housewife signed a $1 million deal for her post-prison return to Real Housewives of New Jersey. As you’ve come to expect from the show, the news is surrounded by all kinds of drama.

The blog reports that Giudice’s RHONJ cast mates didn’t get the same pay bump, and they’re fuming. One source said the ladies are “disgusted that Teresa is getting such a huge paycheck, especially since she is a convicted felon. … It sends a very bad message to their fans that crime does indeed pay.”

So Giudice’s sister-in-law Melissa Gorga and Jacqueline Laurita are demanding $1 million, too. Dina Manzo is also seeking a raise, but the amount is unknown. “And although producers want Carolyn Manzo to come back,” writes Radar, “she is going to be holding out for a big offer, and she isn’t ready to sign back up for all the crazy drama that comes with being on the show.”

The ladies should slow their roll. Terersa really needs the money. She still faces nearly $215,000 in restitution payments from her bankruptcy and fraud case, which she has agreed to have garnished from her wages. Radar obtained court papers stating that the company that produces RHONJ “shall withhold 25% of any monies held on behalf of, or payable to Teresa Giudice, and pay the sum to the plaintiff.”

Giudice is expected to be released in February.
