There’s a Morning Dance Party Happening in Rittenhouse Next Week

It's called "I Woke Up Like This."

Ticketleap, the team behind quirky local events like Dîner en Sweatpants and Pope Yoga, is throwing a morning dance party next Thursday at the Coda in Rittenhouse. It’s fittingly called “I Woke Up Like This,” a little nod to Beyoncé who will almost definitely be thrown into the mix for this pre-work-day pick-me-upper.

The party goes from 7 am to 9 am on Thursday, November 12th. Much like their other events, there’s no specific dress code, just wear whatever — as the invite says — inspires you to “get up early and shake what your momma gave ya.”

There will be free coffee and tea to get you pumped for the dancefloor, and Remedy Spa & Wellness will offer massages to soothe all those muscles you’ll be twerking. Ticketleap says they’ll give you a wake-up call if you think you’ll have trouble getting up, and they’re taking song requests after you purchase your tickets. Tunes will be spun by Emcee Elroy.

Tickets are $10 through the rest of the day, then they’ll go up a bit after that. Kids get in for $5. Proceeds benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern PA, so it’s a fun, win-win way to give this holiday season. Tickets and more info can be found here. See you on the dancefloor!
