First Person Arts Story Slam

Chloe Johnston Pop-Up Shop at ellelauri
Parisian lifestyle and fashion guru Chloe Johnston is bringing her amazing online boutique to life this Tuesday at ellelauri. The trunk show will feature clothing, accessories, and Chloe's signature stylings. Tuesday, October 13th, 6 pm, pay as you go, ellelauri.


Metamorphoses at Arden Theatre
Mary Zimmerman's Tony-winning adaptation of the myths of Ovid opens at Arden Theatre with a 2,600-gallon pool as its set. Through November 1st, $36-$50, Arden Theatre Company.


GMO OMG Screening and Gallery Exhibition at Paradigm
This unique event on Tuesday features a free screening of the film GMO OMG with a special guest from the Food and Water Watch. Also, guests are invited to view the exhibition Subsidized Starvation, which features artwork formed my thousands of grains of rice, barley, and wheat. Antigone at Wilma Theater
Eight Philly actors meet three Greek actors in this original adaptation of the Sophocles tragedy. October 7th-November 8th, various times and prices, Wilma Theater. —Victor Fiorillo


Fashion Under the Shambles
Some of Philly's hottest designers and boutiques will be showcasing their wares this Wednesday during an outdoor fashion show at the Headhouse Shambles. There will be complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar, plus VIP ticketed seating. Wednesday, October 14th, 6 pm, free or $15 VIP seats, Shambles at Headhouse.


Rizzo at Christ Church Neighborhood House
Play readings don’t normally culminate in shouting matches or near-fistfights, but leave it to this world premiere about our controversial late mayor to change that. Actor Scott Greer, playwright Bruce Graham and director Joe Canuso met with everyone from former mayor Wilson Goode to a Rizzo bodyguard to ex-con Vince Fumo to Rizzo right-hand man Marty Weinberg to develop the play, loosely based on Sal Paolantonio’s definitive biography. Bertoia, Nakashima, Schultz at Knoll: Reflections by the Next Generation
The Philadelphia Museum of Art is presenting a unique panel discussion this Wednesday with the children of three major twentieth-century design talents. Hosted by Collab, the session is organized in conjunction with DesignPhiladlephia 2015. Wednesday, October 14th, 6:30 pm, free after museum admission, Philadelphia Museum of Art.


Sessions at Stotesbury: "Reprise 1"

Hooked with Inis Nua Theatre Company
This site-specific production of Gillian Grattan's play Hooked! is being staged at none other than the upstairs lounge at Fergie's Pub. Monty Python and the Quest for the Holy Grail BYOB Night
