Ibeyi, D'Angelo, Torres and more shows worth seeing in Philly this week.

Monday: Ibeyi ($20)

Ibeyi is a Cuban duo of twin sisters, Lisa-Kainde Diaz and Naomi Diaz, from Paris, France. Lisa is the lead voice and plays the piano, while Naomi plays traditional Cuban percussion instruments, the cajon and Batá drum. Their debut album, Oya, was released in 2014, and their most recent album, Ibeyi, was released in February 2015. Listen before you go: "Mama Says." Tuesday: D'Angelo and The Vanguard ($75-$175)

This is D'Angelo's first appearance in Philadelphia since dropping his acclaimed, incredible Black Messiah last December. Everyone loved this album: It's smart, it sounds great, his show in Glenside is going to be popping. Go see him. Listen before you go: "Sugah Daddy." Wednesday: Blonde Redhead ($18)

Blonde Redhead, an alternative rock band that formed in New York City in 1993, features Kazu Makino on vocals and guitar and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace on drums, vocals and lead guitar. Their earliest albums were popular in the noise-rock genre, but their current sound is one that's evolved into the dream-pop and shoegaze realm, especially with the release of Misery Is A Butterfly in 2004. Their ninth and most recent studio album, Barragan, was released in 2014. Listen before you go: "Misery Is A Butterfly." Wednesday, June 24, 8:30pm, Union Transfer, 1026 Spring Garden Street.

Thursday: Rush ($46)

Canadian rock band Rush formed in the late 1960s and made a name for themselves by incorporating lyrics about science fiction, fantasy, history and philosophy into their heavy-metal sound. Their most recent studio album, Clockwork Angels, was released in 2012. The band is currently on their R40 Live Tour, where they will play in over 30 North American cities. Matt Roach

Matt Roach calls his music "alternative to rock and pop, with a little country-comedian thrown in." Roach is currently on tour for his most recent album, The Ghosts of Aldine Street, and has been playing at different venues throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey since April. Torres

Torres is an independent singer-songwriter and musician best known for her indie-rock and folk sound. Her first studio album, Torres, was released in January 2013, and since she has toured extensively across North America with a variety of different artists. Barenaked Ladies

Barenaked Ladies is a Canadian rock band formed in the late 1980s. Their label debut, Gordon, was released in 1992 and they gained a cult following in Canada that made its way stateside in the late 90s with singles like "One Week" and "Pinch Me." They have released 14 albums since their debut, and their most recent album, Silverball, was released in June 2015. Listen before you go: "One Week."
