HughE Dillon: Sneak Peek at Xfinity Live Complex
Last night, Xfinity Live Philadelphia hosted an exclusive Korbel champagne-and-hard-hat tour for invited guests at Philly’s newest dining and entertainment district. Below: Jesse Rendell, Rendell Management & Consulting, Nicole Cashman, Cashman & Associates, and Jake Miller, Xfinity Live. Rendell was excited to tell me all about the complex, and mentioned what sounds like a spectacular venue: the Victory Beer Hall. It’s going to feature beer hall-style tables, a stage for live indoor entertainment, and a 2,000-square-foot patio complete with a fire pit and a panoramic view of the Philadelphia skyline. I’m so there.
Below: Danielle Dinger, Larry Sutow, director of retail sales at Capital Wine & Spirits, and Trish Commons.
Below: Rob Johnson, VP of marketing at Xfinity Live, Chris Stevens, executive chef at Xfinity Live, and Karen Wiederholt. Chef Stevens will oversee the Philly Marketplace, as well as all the restaurants that are under the Xfinity Live roof. Even on off-game nights, the complex will be a beehive of activity with things to do, places to eat and lots of entertainment.
Below: The biggest thrill of the night was getting the first look at Xfinity Live. This is the Philly Marketplace, which will serve as the heart of the venue and act as a central gathering place for group. It’s here you’ll find the Original Philadelphia Cheesesteak Co., Chickie’s & Pete’s, and Nick’s Roast Beef. There will also be a VIP lounge, custom draft tables, a raw bar, and world-class sports viewing because on the left, out of the frame, is a massive 32-foot HDTV which was installed this week.
Below: Nicole Rossi, TwitChange, and Matthew Nadu, CW Philly/CBS 3. Nadu is a huge Flyers fan and can’t wait to hang out in the Broad Street Bullies Pub. The wait is almost over as the complex is set to open March 30th, but for those of you who are going to Bruce Springsteen concerts on March 28th & 29th, you’re invited to the soft opening on the Boss’s big night just by showing your ticket at the door.
