The vice-president joined Mayor Nutter and Ron Jaworski at Girard College.

Philadelphia honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with its 17th Annual Martin Luther King Day of Service. The event, run by Global Citizen, is the biggest volunteer effort of its type in the U.S. This morning, Vice-President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden visited Girard College and helped to prepare meal packages with the “Stop the Hunger Now” organization, which provides meals for millions of people around the world and locally.
